Dreams of Walden
Regarding Love -EP
This collection of songs explores different experiences with love. Some are very personal to me and some are stories that have been passionately shared from others. Songs of the heart are not the first place I go, I’m much more likely to start more cerebral. So these songs coming together over the past few years was both surprising and exciting, as I love covering new ground. Dreams of Walden is a study in exploring new territory for me, so it is fitting that the first EP would exemplify that.
Thoughts & Prayers
The tragedies just keep happening. Over and over and over. Something has to change…
I haven’t had the emotional fortitude to make the video that needs to be made for this song yet, so this is just the song.
Absolution
The choices we make have consequences and, often, these cannot be undone or taken back. Events happen only once, so if the opportunity to make amends passes by, you are left seeking absolution.
The imagery of Dan Marshall's photography captures my struggle through a journey toward this end. Find more of Dan's evocative photography on his Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/manieldarshall/
Relapse
The struggle with addiction and the toll it takes on mental state is what the song describes and the photographs from Dan Marshall invoke. I have struggled with addiction through the years and have seen many of those close to me fall victim to the pull of the fix. If you think your hiding it, you're not. The ones that love you know and want to help you through. There is a way out.
To My Son
Featuring Photography by Jake Wilde
This song is for my son, Areion. It is part message, part celebration, and part encouragement to get out and enjoy life. The photography features beautiful scenes from the Adirondacks in upstate NY. I spent my youth discovering nature’s wonder with my dad in those mountains and will share them with my son as well.
The Shoals
Featuring Sammy Jean
Art by Christine York
The Shoals are often the last protective barrier from the destructive force of the water for the inhabitants of the land. Eventually the sea always win…
